I recently realized that i'm really bad at committing to do something which in this case is blogging. I know in one of my last posts I said that i'll try to put much more effort in blogging but FAIL!! anyway, today I wanted to share with you guys my recent favorite celebrity style. My current obsession with the Hunger Games trilogy has a direct relationship for forcing me to love Katniss Everdeen or in real life, Jennifer Lawrence. I loved Jennifer through the pages of each book of the trilogy little did I know that she also has a very good taste in fashion and makeup. In a very short period of time Jennifer became my everyday style-inspirer because she is very practical when it comes to clothing and also you can effortlessly recreate any of her styles. What I personally like to do is recreate any of her styles and then add a scarf, statement necklace or a pop of color of any sort to take the outfit a bit closer to the chic side.

DIY | Makeup Brushes Spot Cleaner
Cleaning your makeup brushes is always a must, to avoid transforming any bacteria to your face and also to get the perfect application. But let's be honest here, sometimes deep cleaning your makeup brushes can be a source of annoyance (or at least for me). So to solve this problem that keeps haunting me down, I found an alternative for deep cleaning the brushes but it was a bit overpriced so instead of buying a bottle of "Makeup Brushes Spot cleaner" for a lot of money I decided to make my own. Another thing I've decided was to share this DIY with you guys because it only requires few cheap things and the most important thing because IT WORKS. I use my Spot Cleaner after each time I use the brushes and every weekend I deep clean them.
First things first, what you will need for this DIY are very basic and simple stuff that may be laying around your house already.
You will need:
1- A spray bottle, I used an empty Herbal Essences hairspray bottle.
2- Distilled water to fill three quarters of your spray bottle.
3- 1tablespoon of rubbing alcohol to contaminate the brushes and to kill any bacteria.
4- 1/2tablespoon of Johnson's baby shampoo.
Mix them all together and give the spray bottle a good shake then voila you have your makeup brushes spot cleaner.
Spray the mix on the hairs of the brush avoiding the metal area to avoid getting hairs out of the brush
After you've sprayed your makeup brush, use a tissue paper and move the brush all over the tissue paper to get all of the makeup out.
Here are my brushes after I have spot cleaned them and on the right is the tissue paper with all the makeup residues I got out of my makeup brushes.
If you've tried this spot cleaner please tell me in the comments how did it turn out and if you liked it or not.

Winter | Three outfit ideas
In winter there is nothing better than a cozy yet chic and comfortable outfit with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee to warm up and a christmasy scented candle to set the mood. I've an unconditional and everlasting love for scented candles and this winter season i'm in love with the apple cinnamon one. Anyway back to the main purpose of the blog post, here I give you three outfit ideas for this season using not so many wardrobe items to switch and swap.
Start your outfit by wearing the must-have in each wardrobe, basic white t-shirt, and top it up with a green military jacket, which is a whoop for this season. For pants go for a black legging or black skinny pants, if you're not the leggings type of person, brown boots and brown shoulder bag to add more color. Finish up with a taupe eyeshadow and black eyeliner and you're all set to rock.
This is another go-to outfit for the season with basic white t-shirt too, beige cardigan, black shoulder bag and a black ballet flats. To glam it a bit more add a gold chain necklace, and gold arm candy. And finally to spice things up apply a bold lip color like this burgundy lip tar from obsessive compulsive cosmetics in Black Dahlia.
By far this is my favorite outfit for this season, i've been wearing it a lot lately. A red, white and black flannel shirt, like this one from Pull&Bear in red, a black vest and a dark navy jeggings or pants. Finally wear a rich-tanned flat riding boots and brown shoulder bag. Always wear this outfit with nude lips.

Fall | Makeup Faves
It's this time of the year when mornings become shorter and leaves start falling off the trees, yeah i'm talking about fall season. Fall makeup is always about dark colors such as berry, purple and navy. Here are my makeup faves for this fall season.
For an all-over face product i've been loving the Garnier BB cream, it's light formula gives you medium coverage, evens out your skin tone and leaves your face so hydrated and soft. The only downside is it's limited shades; light and medium. It doesn't crease or shed for pretty long time.

The L'Oreal Glam Bronze Mineral Pearls has been my all time favorite bronzer. It has gold and copper pearls which combine together to both highlight and contour your face. I've it in 102 Brunette.

I've been using this limited edition Bobbi Brown Lilac Rose Eye palette almost everyday this month and i've been loving it a lot. The colors are really pigmented and allows you to create a wide variety of looks, ranging from natural to smokey.

You can never go wrong with the perfect eyeliner, for me it is the No7 Stay Precise Felt Tip Eye Liner in black to give you a more dramatic look for this fall. It's felt tip makes it really easy to apply, also it lasts all-day.

A look is never complete without mascara, for this fall i've been loving the Essence 2in1 Volume Mascara which allows you to control the amount of mascara to get different looks, look 1 gives you defined volume and look 2 for spectacular volume.
Fall is all about bold lips, for this fall season I love the Essence Longlasting lipstick in 04 On The Catwalk which is a pretty berry color with burgundy undertone which makes it a wearable bold lipstick.

Breaking the boundaries
I've been starring at my laptop's keyboard for almost an hour trying to figure out what to write as a first blog post then I got hit by this idea of just letting you guys know who I am and stuff.
I'm a 20 years old Egyptian girl, currently rockin' the streets of Cairo, who happens to be loving all things from cooking and baking to beauty and makeup so yeah this was me telling you what this blog will contain. I've been longing to create my own blog for almost 3 years now but never had the guts to actually start it till that one lonely night I was bored at home surfing the interweb and came across an article about following your dreams and doing what you really want to do no matter what and voila unicorns confetti was born.
The name unicorns confetti comes from my love for unicorns that I wish I could have a real unicorn.
